About Us
Diyanet - Edmonton Blue Mosque
Religion and religious services are an inherent part of cultural heritage. Turkish Canadian Society has been operating a small masjid inside its cultural centre for two decades to serve the Turkish Canadian Community in Edmonton. In 2016, community members embarked on an ambitious project to build a brand new mosque. To achieve this goal, Blue Mosque Foundation - Diyanet Edmonton , a separate, independent and a registerd charity was founded. With the help and permission of Allah (swt) we were able to get all the necessary documentation and permissions from the city and started construction of our Mosque in September 2020. The construction is in it's finishing stage and we kindly ask you to help us with as much donations as possible.
Prophet (ﷺ), said
"Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah(swt), then Allah (swt) will build for him a house like it in paradise".
[Sahih Al Bukhari, Sahih Muslim]

Note: Until the construction of the Mosque is complete, we only offer Friday Prayers at
the Turkish Canadian Society Building at
2:00 PM
Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (ﷺ), said,
“Whoever goes to the mosque in the morning and evening, Allah will prepare for him a place in Paradise for every morning and evening.”
